For Artisans building thriving businesses
I am excited to introduce you to the Handmade Seller Magazine. Amber and I connected via social media and quickly realized we are both invested in helping artists of all levels reach their goals. Let's learn more about the magazine!
2024 has been a year unlike any other in recent memory. But then again hasn’t every year since the start of the global pandemic been a wild ride? There was a huge shock at the start of the pandemic that forced businesses online. And then highs many artisans experienced led to a different expectation of normal. Or the lows of losing in-person events that were key for so many people. As economies opened up and inflation raged, many economies started shifting. If you think about it, it has been pretty crazy.
At the same time, there is a relentless pace of technological change unfolding. From new platforms for selling, to augmented reality, and artificial intelligence, many things influence our businesses. How are you navigating the ups, downs and all-around of the current environment for your artisan business? Despite all these challenges, there is a core set of skills to build upon that continue to allow you to build the business you want.
In early 2023 Handmade Seller magazine was revived and relaunched as a media company. We produce our publication quarterly in digital and in print. We are the only publication helping you with the business part of artisan business. We look across the world of artisan businesses to bring you pragmatic advice, inspirational stories, and news on industry developments. Sometimes the best ideas or advice is from another artisan business that has been there and done that.
We produce several shows on our YouTube channel as well:
The Now What Show,
Why is it so messy in the middle
The marketplace report
Sustainability in artisan craft (fall 2024)
All these shows address different topics across the world of craft. Each month we also release up-to-date articles on additional industry topics. Different content and formats help you to keep up to date and bring fresh inspiration to your business.
Our magazine is a feast for the eyes with a beautiful color-filled layout. We also have a font that won’t have you searching for a magnifying glass. We purposefully use heavier paper and use stapling instead of binding in our magazine. This allows you to lay it flat, highlight it, and write on it as you get ideas from our content. We consider interacting with Handmade Seller Magazine to be a full-contact artisan business sport.
We offer both digital and print subscriptions. Get your copy today HERE!
Print is currently available in the US only, but digital is available everywhere.
Amber is the owner of Handmade Seller Magazine, a B2B publication supporting artisan businesses. After a 20+ years in finance and tech, she bought and revitalized Handmade Seller as part of her quest to help small artisan businesses survive and thrive. You'll find her writing, podcasting, and generally nerding out over small businesses. In the artisan world, artisan food is her thing. Many a weekend is spent carefully crafting delightful products such as salted caramel pear butter or winter BLT jam.
Art Connective is happy to be working with Amber, she embodies the same values and ideas I have for supporting the arts and creative entrepreneurs. Be sure to join the Art Connective newsletter for more collaborations from Handmade Seller Magazine and Art Connective!
Cheers - Alexis
